Answer: By taking risks. The social norm is conformity, isolation, apathy, and self-promotion. Those are things that divide society, promote prejudice and stratification. In a world that celebrates only looking out for yourself and living in fear of others, I want to care for and contribute to my community and build relationships among different people.
An individual can only do so much, and the efforts with the greatest impact come from a community or group effort.
